Mind share with me you achieved such a beauty? Are there any specific parameters to strictly follow ? Food? Lighting? Water parameters? Love factor ??

- My red is about 10 months, has only orange cheeks and the development is slow and rather poor ?

sorry for the late reply. ok il share with you my technique.

3 things u need to achieve.
1. good water quality - maintain ph atleast 6.5-6.8 stable.
2. diet- good variety of diet im doing 60 percent dubia 30 percent super worms all gut loaded with carrots and spinach and 10 percent pellets
3. good tanning light- with high uva uvb output 8-10 hrs per day.

I can easily follow 2nd and third advise but about the water quality and the ph this is a serious issue.

The ph of my tap water is approx. 7.8 and with the air stone the ph raises to 8.0 - 8.1 ! My GH is 6

So my question is: is the low ph ESSENTIAL for the red arowana for getting the red colour?

yes shud be in that range acidic and soft water.
