Flowerhorn growout

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He is stunning I think you have a gem there.

He's so colourful at a young age he can only get better aswell.
Thank you. I ordered hikari excel on Amazon and it gets here Thursday and that should start slowly increasing the blue color and gonna get krill sometime soon to help the red on the shoulders. When I first got this guy he was in bad condition, extremely stressed out, a couple torn fins and scales but nothing noticeable without a good inspection but honestly the condition after I got him in his first tank which was a 25g plastic tote by my bed, I thought he wouldn’t make it through the week because he refused to eat until I gave him his first food which was betta bites and after a while he finally got settled in and started coloring up. After a couple weeks he started growing his kok and I knew I had to upgrade the tank and fast but had no way too. It’s been an interesting journey so far and the rides only just begun. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and this fish.

Is there anything I can set up to groom daisy without having to move my arm around for 10 minutes a day ( 2, 5 minute sessions daily) I use my magnet algae scraper and do figure 8’s and just go back and forth and he attacks it. He’s not interested in mirrors. There’s one in his tank 24/7 hung bu fishing line. Anything I can do so I don’t have to work out with my fish lol truth is I’m not in the same shape I was 8-9th grade wrestling ? oh how I’ve changed lol

Short video I just took of me feeding daisy. Thinking of changing name to rockstar because the little pearls underneath his eyes reminds me of like a heavy metal guitarist or something lol. I usually don’t feed with a spoon but did for thsi one video and accidentally put too much cichlid gold ( I netted out the leftovers) and sorry for bad quality and background noise from my tv.

Daisy has a new time waister/ hobby. For the last hour and a half he been trying to eat the small bubbles that form ontop of the water from the filter. I’d understand if it was like a 2 minute thing but nope… almost 2 hours he’s been doing it almost nonstop

Consider an airstone, maybe he doesn’t have enough oxygen in the water. Or just fh being weird...
He’s looking beautiful!
