Anoles are fun to catch down In the Carolinas really interesting lizards too because the males have I think it’s called a dewlap and they’re really colorful. I think they’re used to attract females
Used for cooling off, attracting females, and as a territorial display.
Some wild green anoles in Disney world:

My captive green anole, Randall (left), and brown anole (Rudy), right. Lost Rudy due to cricket shortage in covid and being outcompeted by the far more aggressive green anole (opposite happens in wild). This pic shows the differences, especially while Randall is in his brown coloration.4A05E8E0-83A8-4694-98A1-924757B907BA.jpeg
Green Randall (while he was still in the cage with my giant day gecko, he was moved to his own enclosure due to being too aggressive for the gecko):

I don’t have any dewlap pics, they just go to fast and are way to skittish, even the captive ones.

I might be able to do some digging and find an old YouTube video I made with a wild green anole I caught.

Found my old YouTube channel from 4 years ago. Too embarrassed to share it with you guys. Also don’t have a video with an anole but do have a blue tailed skink biting my nose lol

Blue tailed skink. Used to catch these guys a couple years ago at my grandparents house but one day they suddenly disappeared from my area and haven’t seen them since.
Probably due to feral cats.

Never seen any around there. Actually don’t think anyone on that block even owns a domestic cat lol. Honestly miss catching these guys
Ah,well has anything changed around there since you've last seen a skink.....new construction or possible habitat destruction?

Construction is a big one. We don’t get lizards where I am, but turtles used to be everywhere until they started building new houses by me.

Nope. Nothing changed. One day on the news there were reports of thousands of them in my area and then several months later they just all disappeared.

Like an exodus.
