What can I stock this with indoors?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Could just be 1 aro, solo. And maybe 1/2 bichirs. But a jardini would get daarkkk in there and asians also look pretty bland from the top.
Agreed.. you'll want a white/blue pond if no viewing window in my opinion. Also I wouldn't trust a jar with tankmates in a pond where I can't see damages to fins and what not. OP could get an underwater camera of some sort tho.

does not look like it will work indoors for any fish. This is a screen shot from the 1st paragraph of the description for the 250 gallon lnked to here in the OP. Not sure what would make this different from a PE holding tank that’s designed for above ground use though.

I think that is some poorly worded ad copy. They seem to be trying to sell a potential buyer on the idea of using this as an inground pond instead of going with a flexible liner. But they do indeed make it sound as though that is its only purpose...or perhaps this is generic ad copy that refers to all of the many assorted shapes of Laguna rigid liners that are available.

One of my LFS uses an entire row of what certainly seems to be this exact model of basin for koi inside their store. They've been in service for at least 5 - 6 years since I discovered the place (maybe much more) and they seem to working out very well. They appear to be very tough and much more rigid than the typically-used livestock watering tanks. Possibly they wouldn't hold up as well to a 1000-pound heifer leaning against one while drinking, or to a hard impact from a heavy object...but they sure seem durable and strong to me.
