It seems like only yesterday when certain folks here were talking about IF a second wave occurred, and how herd immunity would save us all. lol

Yesterday?

More like this morning...

Scuttlebutt has it that they may change the recommendation for the boosters from eight months down to five. I will get the booster as soon as I am able to.

I’ll be getting my booster in 2 weeks. It’ll be the 8 month mark for me. In the spirit of covid, I’m watching contagion right now.

Is the booster necessary? Not a fan when cdc says they are hopeful and have no data to back it up. Prob a good idea to wait a bit before taking it. Is it even safe to take 2-3 shots in a year?

Once there aren't hundreds of thousands of people running around spreading the disease, then annual boosters will probably be fine to keep it under control.

But, I know several people that have had both shots of pfizer and moderna with no problems, they're quite happy with it. Especially if you can just walk in somewhere and get a shot.

Instead of working Saturday as planned, I hibernated all day and into the night. My sleep schedule is goofy but no bad reactions to Moderna yet.

My wife was sore for 3 days, and dizzy, but she got thru the second injection ok. I have 26 days before I get #2.

I figure I was already exposed twice from my grandkids in different households, at different times. This injection caused more reaction than that. Evidently they weren’t spewing enough germs to actually infect me.

Or they did, and my normal arthritis, pet allergy congestion, and grumpy stomach camouflaged the symptoms enough that maybe I didn’t notice.

Lol, it is a bit humorous to read the list of symptoms of Covid...and then to compare that list to the normal role call of aches and complaints that come with simply going about life for more than a few decades.

During my most recent brain-stab...er, I mean, Covid test...the new nurse asked me if I had any of the list of symptoms. Answering truthfully, I said yes to about half the list...muscle stiffness, fatigue, blah, blah, blah...

Her eyes went round with shock. She asked if these symptoms were "new onset". I replied "yeah, pretty much all have cropped up just within the last ten years or so". She didn't seem amused.

Apparently, the Age of Covid is so serious that there is officially no room for levity.

Well it had to happen, last week one of our staff refused a nasal swab. Nope, not gonna do it. They were sent home, not sure for how long, but sounds like suspended pay. WTH? I never would have known except it was briefly mentioned in a zoom meeting regarding our most recent outbreak.

Their rights and freedoms were being violated. They believe they have a right to get sick and a right to infect others.
