Can you see in this photo? is this normal? why my Fig8 Puffer belly is always big?

Funny story for you, my hairy puffer was looking a bit 'thick', kind of looking like a fatty and I thought that I must be overfeeding. So I started cutting way back on feeding yet he was still looking big. Then one day Im doing a gravel vac on "HIS" tank and start sucking up tons of eggs. Turns out "SHE" was just holding eggs and that is why she looked so fat, lol.

Thanks. Please excuse my ignorance, do you mean it is a female puffer and hold his eggs inside ? Or he is eating snail eggs?

Meant that the puffer was a female.

I’ll have to keep an eye on that. My amazons are still small though, so I doubt anything will come as of now, and even then they don’t do the whole captive breeding thing…

Yep, my puffer was a female holding eggs, just one possibility...
