Mono X kelberi peacock bass size?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Again aslong as you have good water, filtration and diet a 120 is fine. By the looks of my female a 120 is a proper sized tank my for monos. she's 15" I really don't understand why it's hard for you to accept that some monos can be housed long term in a 120.

sure, but to everyone out there dont expect to get a monster fish and cram a 20 inch beast or anything near that into a 4 foot long tank. 2 foot wide and high is good but i recommend a 6 foot long :) hope this helps anyone in the future who looks at this post.

You literally just joined mfk a few days ago. I have plenty of years experience in this hobby. if your such an expert they why ask fish size and tank size if all your going to do is bash my factual input? re read my first response. i said if limited on space you can get away with a 120 for 1-2 cichla (mono/kelberi) but a 180-300 is better. and not ever cichla will reach its full potential max size. that's a proven scientific fact about a lot of species of fish.

Yes mike thats true, yes i did read your responses, and yes a 120 would do as a bare minimum but minimum isnt always best... but nvm

I speak with passion and experience. Cichla keeping is my passion so i speak and teach from the heart of the hobby. Now if you posted saying i have a 20"+ fish what size tank do i need then i would say the right size tank etc.
