My hand is 9 inches long from tip of middle finger to base of palm. This albino senegal is easily 9.5-10 inches long.

However, I will admit it is very rare. Mine have been stuck at 6-7 inches for the past year and that was the only time ever saw one that big.
Hey man ! Good to see you in this thread your tips helped alot. Whats your opinion this topic ? Also dayyum thats a big lad/lass.

I personally think your tank stocking will do alright. Both species don't get too large and are not active swimmers. As they are big eaters, you will need more filtration but other than that your tank will work just fine.

Ok good to hear. I will still swap the Bushfish for some swordtails or platies (was going to get Velifera Mollies but too big) to drop the bioload. I will also get some large sponge filters.

im not sure but i quess those get eaten when the bichir gets bigger. get them but be prepared to lose them as food at some point in time

I would stick with the ctenopoma. The mollies or swordtails will absolutely be eaten.
Hmmm. But it seems like the Ctenopoma is a wee bit too big. Can you reccomend any other fish ? Since yesterday I also observed it picking on the Senegals, trying to bite them.

It kind of is to big, but if you already had it and weren't wanting to re-home it then it would most likely be ok with proper filtration and water changes. I would not add anything else to be honest if you are rehoming the ctenopoma.

Why so ? I can still do big regular water changes if I add anything after rehoming the Ctenopoma. I also got a huge sponge filter today alongside the canister.
