What I did to my stubborn driftwood was to blue some rocks under them to make it sink. You can hide the rocks by burying them under the substrate so only the wood is visible.Wood has been in for a month - hasn’t grown any of the classic white goop around it, only bright green algae. And it still hasn’t sunk.
Did you try boiling it?
Not sure how to boil a 4 foot piece of driftwood! What I did to my stubborn driftwood was to blue some rocks under them to make it sink. You can hide the rocks by burying them under the substrate so only the wood is visible.
Fair enough, would probably sink by itself in time anyway. Not sure how to boil a 4 foot piece of driftwood!
I don’t want to interfere with the driftwood by doing thatEgemen because I won’t be able to rearrange the driftwood if it has rocks glued. I previously soaked the driftwood for around a week and a half, then took it out for 2 days and put it in here.
