Beast of a midas. How old is he now? Reminds me of my wild barred Midas from Rapps I had back in 2017.

Thanks.... I also got mine from tangled up in cichlids when Jeff Rapps was still the head honcho..... He arrived to me at the 4" size October 31st 2017 so hes pushing close to 5 years old now.....

I have a few males from that time frame and Rapps too.

i also have mutts were a male bred with a female orange midas and now at 6" they are starting to peel- nothing special but its cool to see the heavily barred ones peel

Why are they mutts? Is the female of unknown origin?

I know the location of the father but not the mother. the mother was also obtained from Rapps but i cannot recall the province and i know it was not the same as the father. i guess i'm just airing on the side of caution but its 100% midas.
