My fish got stolen ?

Do you know one of the fish movers has a large tank? I have limited knowledge of law enforcement where you live…but perhaps you could attempt to contact the police for furthur information on the company and the individuals that work there? I don’t think the police could or will do anything because they underestimate the prices of fish, and the rarity of larger fish like yours. Complete BS that the mover would ever do that. However, you are 100% sure that nothing could’ve happened? The fish couldn’t have gotten stressed and jumped out? Perhaps the movers are trying to play it cool, but in reality the fish died in their care?

I only can make a police report, the best thing I can do. I can’t gather any other information besides that. 1000% sure the fish didn’t jump out, I would have known it could have been that the fish died in their care as well and tried to hide it up, either ways, The fault is still theirs and I can’t do anything about it. I doubt the police will know the price of fish and give a **** about it ?

So sorry mate…I can’t help. I understand your situation in the fact that you are young and that means you have limited money. It really sucks to have that happen :(

Did the construction crew or movers have the CCTV available and you have the opportunity to view it? If so, check it out ASAP.
There is a CCTV camera in the lift of my apartment, only the police can check. However, what the tank movers used to load the water were these huge jerry cans. So I’m quite sure they hid the stolen fish in the jerry cans, since the depth of the can is large and so dark the cctv won’t be able to capture anything m.

Am sorry about this. Keep a close eye on all local fb sales group/band pages any kind of classifieds etc have the local fish club have their eyes open for anyone that has recently acquired bichirs etc. Im my opinion people will rather hide the fact that they killed fish and pretend it just disappeared on its own based from the injured one. It also could be your new neighbors that have been watching the movers etc. there are too many possibilities I am sorry you are missing the fish and have an injured one to deal with.

Any updates today? Such as with the camera?

Just reread and saw the hurt bichir. My condolences about it, and I suggest to euthanize it if it doesn't improve after a few days to a week.
