700 gallon Fish Stocking Ideas

2650 liters is not big enough for a tiger shovelnose. A tank almost 4 times as large isn't big enough, in fact.

You could try a giant freshwater puffer, depending on the price they're available to you at.

chances of the op obtaining an actual p. Tigrinum are extremly slim… there are 5 species of tsn. Only 1 really grows to extreme sizes over 5’ p. Corruscans. The most available species in the hobby is p. Fasciatum… and to boot there 99% captive bred, inferior genes, and very very rarely even make it over 26-28” after 10+ yrs. 1 run of the mill p. Fasciatum would be fine in a 700g.

Would a channel cat work? Or what are some cool combos that I could do

1 tiger shovelnose would b ok in a 700gal. Most likely will not exceed 28”, ever… would b in the same ball park size of a channel catfish also ??.IMO the channel catfish is more open water/active. They can be flighty darting around also. As long as ur moderate and keep only 1 large cat ull b fine and can have a cple other tank mates.

Fair. I assume a farm cull of 66-71cm would be ok in a 2650 liter, as long as it does the following:

You know this fish is in an properly sized tank when it will cruise the mid-water area looking for food when hungry. They don't do this in cramped conditions.

Hopefully this will help FishGuy97 decide whether, if they get a tiger shovelnose, it has enough space.

Ok I thought of some fish... So 1 TSN, 1 Peacock Bass, and 1 Clown Knifefish. I was thinking about adding more fish but idk any others that would work or that are cool. Any suggestions? Maybe even a gar

What are the dimensions?

4 meters x 2.11 meters seems like a good footprint to me.
You might consider a giant school of neons for something else. Nice contrast to the big fish and they're so small compared to the big fish that they're unlikely to be seen as food.
