Soldier catfish aka Lithodoras dorsalis at Fish Story

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Our trio must have grown several inches in the 2 months with us. Now look about a foot, maybe a bit over. Feed like maniacs. Their 240 gal is largely bare, so they swim around as they please. Seldom sit in a corner, even then one at a time. Sometimes swim/hang head down mid water in a corner, which I find unusual.

Feeding the three soldiers. Not much new to report. They grew a bit more, look about 14"-15". I gave them a hide a month ago, a cave. They barely use it, one or two at a time but most usually out and about.

The three soldiers have been doing exceedingly well, feeding like maniacs as usual and growing. Probably around 14" now.

Shown here just in passing:

An update on the Lithodoras trio. Looks like I have been overestimating their size before. Trying them in 1800 gal:

Nope. 3 days in 1800 gal. Failure. The opportunistic, predatory, smart mahseer prove successful at biting little bits off the soldiers fins, little by little but incessantly:
