In large enough groups tigers can behave, but smaller groups usually result in lots of fighting and slowly picking each other off. A lot like exodons or even marine chromis.
Mollies are a good dither, get enough and they’ll breed as fast as they get eaten.
I've had her for 4 months tomorrow.
She was in really bad shape when I got her. She was surrendered to a pet store and when I found her she had a really bad fungal infection. the pet store people claimed that she was surrendered because she was getting beat up. I started her in a 20 gallon, and moved her to a 40 gallon. The fungal infection cleared up, and aside from her tail not fully growing back, she's completely healed up.
Her tank is at 80° f. She has tons of flower pots, black sand substrate, and tons of fake plants. Her tank is currently in my bedroom where she doesn't get a lot of traffic. I did this mostly to help keep her stress down while she was recovering.
She was avoiding food when I got her, but never really got back into eating consistently.
I'll definitely give earthworms a try.
You could probably drop the temp a bit. Mine sits around 74 and does great.
I wouldn't say she's listless, she swims around. If I'm extra sneaky, I can catch her not hiding, but I'll get her on some parasite meds. I'm pretty sure I have some paracleanse around here somewhere.
Unless she is abnormally thin or with white stringy poo I doubt there is a parasite issue.
Jacks are naturally skittish and one of the lazier cichlids. Mine can disappear in the tank all the time. Getting some dithers as well as providing too cover helps a lot to get them more comfortable.

Meal worms!
I decided to get 10 Buenos Aires tetras because they're the cheaper option and if they become food, it's not gonna kill my wallet.
Now the next big question is how do I transition my lovely lady from mealworms to fish kibble? I'm going to get her weight up before I try, but definitely something I want to do.
