I'll remind you of what you said: "Here’s the thing that amazes me. Everybody’s focused on them selves and their problems and their orientations in their pronouns and nobody gives a fook about the wars.

They are all worried about showing off for some fancy pride month and nobody’s protesting the killing."

If you think that the behavior I’m describing is limited to queer people you are asleep.

Indeed. Choice between the slightly cheaper gas and giving money to Russia to subsidize their war on Ukraine.... and joining the rest of the world in boycotting Russian oil, way too many Americans would choose the gas (and slaughter of Ukrainians). Sadly, way too many of us Americans are selfish like that...

I agree most don't that's a fact.

You are absolutely right imo. I served our country during peace time and back the Ukrainian's 100%. It could be us.

The rest of the world isnt boycotting russian oil, the rest of the world is buying russian oil. Very few countries are boycotting russian oil, the US and some European countries. Most countries are still buying and they are getting a discount to the current global price, but that discount is still at a premium to the price before the sanctions were imposed. It is a similar situation to the other goods Russia produces, hence why the ruble is the best performing currency of the year.

This is probably just a short term thing though. The ruble crashed when they invaded Ukraine, and then soared again when russian started demanding payments for oil and other commodities to be paid in rubles.

I don't think the strength of the ruble at the minute paints a true picture of the overall situation. There's nothing rosy about the Russian economy at all, and I suspect, and hope, that things get very bad for them, we need to totally cripple them. These ongoing sanctions seem to be working, sort of, but very slowly.
