Blood worms, night crawlers, fish fillets cut real small, algae wafers, or fish eggs is what I would feed mine. What species do you have

actually, I didn't even clearly see that also because the package was received at midnight. and I just acclimate and released to a quarantine tank. by morning i will share some photos.

as I remember I saw markings like this. but not sure

Dear All ,

this is the variety that I have received. don't know many details. how big they grow. btw thanks for your kind replies.

* You can get an idea about her size by the pallet there next to her, and that is a Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellet.

I’m not being rude , just curious. Why did you buy a fish that you don’t know exactly what it is and don’t know how big it gets or what to feed it?
It does look cool though so hope it all goes well.

Hi.. Actually, I purchased Golden Dorado from my seller, so he offered me a good discount for this fish. I had heard about this fish but never had one before. and never thought fish could be this small. So that is why I asked people from here who have experience in raising this fish.

* 4 months update

the things that I have learned from this amazing fish.
  • do not like frozen foods. ( don't know why :( ) only love to eat Hikari pallets.
  • tried to feed frozen blood worms. However, not interested.
  • was constantly trying to hide in, so I added a PVC tube. Now he has more confidence in swim around his tank space.
  • He is with Baby Silver Arowana. so far no issues found.
  • the growth rate is very slow.

Giraffe cats eat spirulina / algae pellets and plant matter. They don't eat massivore or sinking carnivore pellets. That's why your growth rate has been slow.
