Oh ok, my first list would be my suggestion still, second would be endi ornate bichirs, dat and odoe, but that might be pushing it. Last would be SDs, pike and BGK and a catfish of some type
hepsetus odoe? that would be awesome actually. those are some good setups, thanks for the advice

My 2 cents regarding Frontosa: I would advise only a small colony (ex/ 1M/4F) in a tank this size, no other tankmates. And eventually even these should be housed in at least a six foot tank.

idk if you read through the thread, but i accidentally made it sound like i wanted all of those fish, but what i really meant was which out of those do you think i could keep with bichirs. thanks for the frontosa info though
hey btw for the third setup, how many SDs would you suggest? and also what species? i don’t know much about them yet and i’m trying to get a gauge on tank dynamics before i pull the trigger on which setup to get. Also by pike do you mean pike cichlid or african pike/hepsetus odoe? if you meant pike cichlid, which species would you suggest?
I would do spotted SDs since I believe they’re the smallest and probably around 5 or so. I meant an Odoe pike since you liked hujeta, they look similar but get big enough to go with an endi. I had an odoe for a little over a year and it went from 2” to 7” and then slowed way down, so I think if it will outgrow your tank, it will take a long time, if it ever outgrows your tank

Probably but the SDs would make feeding a little tougher and I wouldn’t do pike cichlids with bichirs (from experience). Maybe odoe, SDs and BGK and endi
