Oh ok, my first list would be my suggestion still, second would be endi ornate bichirs, dat and odoe, but that might be pushing it. Last would be SDs, pike and BGK and a catfish of some typeoh i didn’t mean them all in a 150, i just don’t know which one(s) would pair best with bichirs, i really don’t want any more than 2-3 companions for the bichirs
hepsetus odoe? that would be awesome actually. those are some good setups, thanks for the adviceOh ok, my first list would be my suggestion still, second would be endi ornate bichirs, dat and odoe, but that might be pushing it. Last would be SDs, pike and BGK and a catfish of some type
Good advice given so far.from what i’ve seen both on this forum and other sources online, people have said that all of these fish except the tigrinus which i didn’t actually mean to put on the list can be kept in a 150 for life. were my sources wrong?
idk if you read through the thread, but i accidentally made it sound like i wanted all of those fish, but what i really meant was which out of those do you think i could keep with bichirs. thanks for the frontosa info thoughGood advice given so far.
My 2 cents regarding Frontosa: I would advise only a small colony (ex/ 1M/4F) in a tank this size, no other tankmates. And eventually even these should be housed in at least a six foot tank.
Best of luck with your tank.
hey btw for the third setup, how many SDs would you suggest? and also what species? i don’t know much about them yet and i’m trying to get a gauge on tank dynamics before i pull the trigger on which setup to get. Also by pike do you mean pike cichlid or african pike/hepsetus odoe? if you meant pike cichlid, which species would you suggest?Oh ok, my first list would be my suggestion still, second would be endi ornate bichirs, dat and odoe, but that might be pushing it. I would do spotted SDs since I believe they’re the smallest and probably around 5 or so. I meant an Odoe pike since you liked hujeta, they look similar but get big enough to go with an endi. I had an odoe for a little over a year and it went from 2” to 7” and then slowed way down, so I think if it will outgrow your tank, it will take a long time, if it ever outgrows your tankhey btw for the third setup, how many SDs would you suggest? and also what species? i don’t know much about them yet and i’m trying to get a gauge on tank dynamics before i pull the trigger on which setup to get. ok sick yeah i didn’t really know abt them until u mentioned them so honestly i think those are a rick additionI would do spotted SDs since I believe they’re the smallest and probably around 5 or so. Probably but the SDs would make feeding a little tougher and I wouldn’t do pike cichlids with bichirs (from experience). Maybe odoe, SDs and BGK and endido you think i could do 1 endli instead of a catfish?
