Kok is an Asian term, used to describe nuchal humps in flowerhorn, a man made fish, that originated from species originally collected in the Americas, some that are capable of growing large nuchal humps.

So your basically stating that i was right to begin with literally the first term for a nuchal hump was kok is what u just said

Yes, for sure - flowerhorn have been around for thousands of years. 💩
Im just hella confused how does someone spreading fake info have a higher rank then someone who knows what there talking about and gets lied to about fish dude literally just said red devils don’t have a kok

To the OP, good luck with your fish.
If you could remove my account that would be highly appreciated cause yall apparently don’t even let people have control over there own account and dont say you cant your legit gold tier you probably know the admins

Getting back to the topic, your RD is PROBABLY a male given it has a nuchal hump as males are far more likely to grow them than females. Also, you can house a RD with other tough tankmates provided you have a large enough tank, ie at least six feet or longer and have a back up tank in case any fighting gets out of hand. As said by another poster, RDs can be very aggressive but they offset this by having a tremendous amount of intelligence and personality.

Above is a female Nandopsis haitiensus,
although the Nuchal hump is most often associated with dominant males, it is really a dominance factor, not exclusive to males.
And it is not only associated with cichlids, going back in history with salmon, mahi mahi, and many other species.
Since FHs are a recent "invention" (early 90s) Kok is kind of a neo-pop invented term
