Larger schooling fish to go in my tank cichlid tank. And do i add more cichlids ??

I have a 57 gallon tank currently with:

1 Adult Angel.
2 BN plecos.

I will be adding:

1 Electric blue acara.
2 kribensis.
And some kind of schooling fish.


What is a good schooling fish that can live with these fish. I really like rummy nose tetras but they will be a snack for the Electric blue acara in a couple months.
What schooling fish can I add to this tank and would it be okay to add a blood parrot in a couple months ??
 
A blood parrot would put it over the edge as far as stocking goes, I would stick with the current cichlid stock.
As for schooling fish, any large bodied tetra should do well. Look into Colombian, Buenos Aires, or bleeding heart tetras.

Watch with the tetras that you don't get anything prone to being nippy, as those angelfish fins will be a target. And nothing small enough to be a source of food for the angelfish (like neon tetras).

thanks for the info. I was plaining to go with either - rosy barbs, lemon tetras or red eye tetras. What do you think about all of them ?
 
Rosy barbs are a solid no. They are nippy, AND they like cool water. Angels like warm water, so even their water conditions aren't compatible.

Not sure about the two tetra species, I'd just do a bit of a Google search and see if they have a reputation for being fin nippers.

With all Tetras, the more the merrier. They act more naturally, don't nip other fish as there are enough pack members to absorb aggression. I had a like 15 member group of Bleeding Hearts, not nippey at all.

1. Do you have a video of them schooling. I would love to see a video.
2. What fish do you have in the tank with them ?
 
That tank started out with
20 Bleeding Hearts
7 Roseline sharks
6 Nanolutae
10 Cory cats
Had to rehome the Roselines due to them eating any and all food dropped in the tank.
