Con Solo the Convict

Here she is! I’ve been putting this on hold for too long now. This little gal immediately caught my eye at the lfs when I looked into the tank holding their convicts. Love her colors and she’s a feisty one. It looked like she was one of the more dominant fish in the tank. She’s actually a bit more bold than I thought she would be after only being in the tank for a few hours. Just like I said in the previous posts, the 29 will be her qt tank for the next few months. Very exciting!
She's a spunky little one. Already digging up a storm too, throwing sand all over the place

And of course little Leia. I just love the color of her eyes. Almost a pinkish orange.
I mentioned it a little bit in the previous post, she is an absolute character. Very outgoing, and to everyone. Solo is not really a fan of anyone but myself. Leia, however, will come right up to the glass for anyone. Her sand pit has also grown to about half the width of the tank, and is almost down to the bottom glass.

Update: Leia killed one of the nerites. I noticed they became quite skittish after her introduction to the tank. She must’ve been messing with them and I figured it was only a matter of time before she taste tested one. I’d rather not feed her live snails, so I arranged a day with an lfs to bring them in. Unfortunately on the day I was removing them to be brought in, I saw she obviously must’ve gotten to one of them before I did. The rest have been removed now, and she’s back to just patrolling around her sand crater.
On another note, I’m pretty sure another swordtail in the 75 is turning out to be male! Same fish, few weeks apart. Notice the anal fin. Now it’s also beginning to grow a “sword”. I keep getting fooled by these dang swordtails.
