Hi everyone,
My salvini cichlid and my blood parrot cichlid in my 29 gallon grow-out tank have been lethargic today ever since I introduced 3 new serape tetras to the tank. When I went to feed them they didn't go after the food. I'm confused about what's going on because the other tank mates being 5 other serape tetras and a rainbow shark all appear fine but these 2 cichlids are lethargic. The serape tetras have been quarantined for 2 weeks now and the lethargy happened in less than a few hours so I doubt its transmitted by the serape tetras which is partly why I'm confused.
My current thoughts about causes:
1) the new serape tetras introduced some disease
2) some unknown disease specific to the cichlids is affecting them
3) they are skittish after being introduced to the new fish
Any thoughts?
