Hey mates,

I just came across these guys they seem very cool, nice colors, and markings.
BUT HOW THE HELL CAN YOU KEEP A TANK AT 100 DEGREES?
First at those temps i would think it would ruin your silicon around your tank? or seals? Also do they make heaters that can hold 100 degree temp year around i would be scared the heater would malfunction and burn down my apartment.
Just curious has anyone kept these? please explain how you kept them and what did you feed them?
and some pictures of your setups with them in there.
Thanks

I never heard of these until now. Thanks for putting these guys on my radar, cool fish! :D

Cool! how did you keep the temp so high? with just a regular heater cranked up?
Also how did you go about doing WC? because there basically Salt Water Fish? so did you mix your own? or how did you keep the salinity so high?

I was into having certain (what I considered) desert species (or desert island species) at the time
So the sump with the heater ran up in the 80s, and the sump pump also ran hot, (an old mag drive) so it was a line of tanks, where all species liked high temps.
Some of the others in the line were Nandopsis haitiensus, (high 80s) and the desert species Herichthys minckleyi from Cuatro cienegas, and brackish water Etroplus suratensus, which also seemed to like high temps.
These species also like high conductivity (some salinity), so the extra salts I was using fit with the with the program.
