Our record 1.5ft female suncat. Thought old age. 20yo. But two big egg sacks and lots of fat inside:

Still the largest captive one I’ve seen or heard of
Long time no updates. The 3 last old suncats (and one youngster donated by Joe) are still around. Two have been well in the 1800g. The third had done ok in the 1800g too for all this time except 2-3 months ago the dorado decided to eat it beginning with the tail, so the injured suncat went into the hospital 300g, where it is safe but doesn't feed yet. I wonder if it is too old and on the way out. IDK why dorado would otherwise single it out among other suncats.
