I love them. Ii wish I had a large tank for a group. Thus far, I have only kept single flagtails.
Yeah, I had just one through high school. It use to eat from my hand. It was just awesome. I always wanted a group of them. I’m really happy with my 7. Just an underrated fish. So active and good looking.

Totally agree, super underrated fish! I love how active and social they are. Do your 7 get along well together? Ever had any aggression issues with the group?

Yes, they get along. I think because there’s so many that the aggression is distributed evenly.

My interest too lies in knowing if they can be together long term - 7x in a 450gal. Glad to hear the beginning is good. Our 3x youngsters grew up in a 240 gal and after about 6inches had to be separated.

I will keep this thread updated. It’s a good learning for all of us

Morning coffee with the Flagtails. They are very personable and always hungry. The wife and I spend almost every morning with them. We feed them flakes, small massivor and algae pellets and frozen brine shrimp, blood worms, and mysis shrimp. So far all the fins are perfect, they do chase each other but no one is getting singled out. I think 7 is a good number. If I had less they might single out one and bully it.
