Your tetracanthus is very young, maybe too young to have developed a steeper cranial profile.
The male below, is about 10".

Still male. Female stripping would be solid black with solid white. More black on top on females.

Definitely male. Look at my male #15. He would color up differently due to the dark substrate. When I removed it and used pfs, the colors lightened up dramatically.
