That was a very nice pair. Sorry for your loss.

If you want something South American, I think the tetra suggestion is a good one. I would say don't underestimate the common stuff especially in a larger school in a larger tank like yours. Hatchets, Redeyes, and Diamond Tetras are three that come to mind. There are a ton of catfish that work. I like farlowellas, but raphael or banjo could work.

If you don't mind going the cosmopolitan route, lake inle danios are awesome, scissor tails could be fun in a big group, a school of small loaches is always fun. I like yoyos and pygmy chains. A really big school of harlequin rasboras would be fun as well. If you want other large fish Gouramis are a great one. Full grown pearl leeri or blue or gold gouramis are tought to beat.

Hello. I just lost the one. I like Gouramis. They are pretty. IDK. I wish I didn't like mean fish. LOL.

Drosophila, Living, vermilion(1); brown(2), Multichromosomal Mutant, Vial of 25–30 | Carolina Biological Supply

Formula 4-24® Instant Drosophila Medium, Blue, 4 L | Carolina Biological Supply

Drosophila Culture Vial Set 1 (36 vials, plugs, caps) | Carolina Biological Supply

Hello; A fellow member ask about the wingless fruit flies (vestigial wing mutation) I had mentioned. I found the flies, food and culture vials still available from Carolina Biological Supply. I pasted some links to the products. I do not know which wingless mutation is best for simple fish food. There are several mutant varieties available. Be careful to order the vestigial type (stunted wings) or you will have a house full of small flies flying around.

The cost is higher than from a couple decades or so ago. Not a surprise. Good thing is the vials can be cleaned and reused over and over. I still have some from the 1970’s around. The food goes a long way

Thanks for posting the information.

Sorry you lost the female, those are really nice looking angels. I've got a lone male that's been living happily with rummynose tetras, laser corys, and a bristlenose pleco. Interesting community to watch, and each type of fish generally ignores all the others. They're pretty peaceful even at feeding times.

Thanks. I'm going to keep him by himself for now. I'm sure he will enjoy the 72 gallon.
