It's curious how the Gibberosa show their beautiful blue color so well under sunlight and yet my two AI Hydra 64 HD units show mostly grey colors and almost no blue regardless of what settings I use trying to get closer to full spectrum. Though I'm not even sure what the CRI rating is on these as I can't seem to find any info anywhere. My units are rather expensive but they can't see to do what I want.
I just ordered a Hygger 60w aquarium light which is advertised to be full spectrum and have a CRI of 90-95, should have it in another week or so. I'm hoping this does the trick. If good results then I'll definitely post some pics.
Which lights do you use on your Moba tank? What are your thoughts on the color of your Moba with direct sunlight in your tank vs when your tank lights are turned on?

I’m using a 48” Current USA Satellite Pro with just the whites and blues running for sort of a cool blue look. I also push the light to one side of the tank, so the leftmost side is a little dimmer.
It doesn’t get a whole lot of direct sunlight, to be honest, as the tank is in a basement with only small windows in the room. I also try to keep the exterior light down to prevent algae.
However, when I do take a look in the daytime under natural light you can really see the natural blues. I do find they look a little lighter in my LED lighting - maybe due to my white sand, also.
This was my Kapampa group under a regular blue/white LED with the rear glass painted black. The light bar was 48” on a 72” tank. They showed deep blue to almost purple at times, which was more evident at the ends of the tank in the lower light areas of the tank. Some of which was definitely mood related as well
