Not complaining just a part of life, on an island.
I admire the fact that that you're willing to go through all that for your hobby! I'd just like to visit to get away from the Canadian winter !

An amazing list of tanks so far everyone! I wish I could get a hold of some of the tanks you all have the biggest I've been able to find up here is a 325( still debating grabbing it, just no space right now) I'm a little envious lol

I have a few but not that big.... 3 medium size tank...
2 tank with divider for betta.....
1 bowl for 6 gourami.........
pond of 2 red ear slider turtle.........
3 hamsters lol.........
and 1 unused medium size tank...... missions is to put puffer fish in........

An arrowhead puffer is pretty fun and doesn't require a huge tank just a suggestion.

I've always loved the bigger fish so I don't see leaving mine behind anytime soon. 39 is still a good number of tanks though regardless of size.
Oh I loved my big tanks and fish but with a young family and work they were a lot of work and the cost was climbing all the time to keep them running. Even with 39 tanks running costs are about 1/6 of 4 largest tanks were. Better power saving equipment has come a long way in helping with that too. especially lighting.

Four tanks. 55g catfish community, 14g Aspidoras breeding project/office tank, 20g Corydoras + kuhlis, and a 75g that primarily houses an unfortunate Acanthicus adonis, the largest of all loricariids, that was sold to me as the far more manageable Pseudacanthicus L097. It is still relatively small, but might not stay so for long...

I ended up liking the Acanthicus more than I expected, and can actually get a 250g stock tank for it at an affordable price, but then I'd run into the unique problem of having to explain myself to the downstairs neighbors about why a plastic tub containing a literal tonne of water crashed through their ceiling. Apartment buildings over here aren't really designed with monster tanks in mind.
