I have a family of raccoons that live in a tree on the backside of my property. This is a picture from a week ago of one of the babies peeking out of the tree.
My pond is 4’.5” deep. I’ve never lost any fish. I’m more worried about the mink that I’ve seen at the end of my driveway finding the pond. Since they will swim to get their food. The coons will just fish from the edge. Plus you’d want the depth to protect from herons as well.
Just my 2cents if you decide you want to give an outdoor pond a shot.
Would prob start with the silver dollars as they are less likely to get picked on, then asses the amarillos personality from their before adding CLAnyone??
