Thanks man. Literally a year after filling the tank having problems. I think I over tightened everything since it was my first time using bulkheads that I just kept tightening thinking it would be better. Also any suggestions for 1.5” hose?

have a very small leak coming out of a bulkhead. Looking to replace it and redo another at the same time. Was looking to try and do it this weekend but my LFS doesn’t have any 1.5” in stock. Are there any good ones on amazon or am I better off just getting them from jehmco. Also looking for 1.5...

would using a 5 gallon bucket work? put a sponge filter in there?

first I have heard of doing that? Where would I get it first off and does it need to be diluted? Is it a quick dip or a soak? just want to make sure I am doing it right!

Its easy to get carried away tightning them since you would think it just makes a better seal. Just a quarter turn after hand tight and your good to go! Let us know how you make out

Your a life saver dude! I thought it was that way but was second guessing myself. Ended up draining the tank to about 6” of water for the fish and running a bubbler. My syns pair are freaking out. But I got the tank away from the wall and put a new bulkhead in and added hose to replace the old...

@JK47 sorry to bug you but in a bit a panic right now! Any ideas? Plus any good tips on tightening this bulkhead in a confined space? Using an oil filter wrench but just can’t get a good grip with the amount of space

not my idea of fun today. Found a trickle on one of my 2” rain bulkheads this morning. I can’t properly tight a new bulkhead on behind the tank since there is not enough clearance so I’m currently draining. Going to put a new one on but questioning which way the gasket should go? I know inside...

Great idea I wish i had thought of that lol. But the tank is in the bedroom and is pretty bright in the morning and at night so that also plays into why I just turn it on and off manually. Next house ill have it set up better!

I would also recommend the finnex planted lights with @twentyleagues and @cigars . I used two 36" Planted+ SE models on my 84x30x30. I love them and they have a great shimmer. Some of my comments I would have on it are that the 24/7 feature does grow old since you are only seeing morning...
