No the back left corner is not touching. Ideally I should put plywood under the tank and shim that. But I'm not sure why shimming the plywood to tank is any different than putting wood between tank and stand to fill the void.

WC arent really necessary. A good skimmer and fuge light is all the nutrient export you need. Then you can test and dose the rest of the elements. I haven't done a WC in months. I do one big one a year. Of around 60% or so.

Those parameters are pretty much irrelevant for saltwater. Ammonia and nitrite go away very fast and nitrates dont effect SW fish, it can be well over 100 and be fine. Is it a reef tank or FOWLR? Also you never want to touch PH in saltwater

Also check out the fluval evo 13.5 tank and other all in ones if that's what you're going for. Try to find one that's designed for a reef.

Go with a jebao pp4. Not that power head you have there. I have that one and it crazy strong. Also it's a sanction cup and you dont want that in salt water. And it's also HUGE. I use it to mix up water change water in a 20 gal. Trash can.

The salt in the softener doesn't come into the house. It's used to clean the resin that is in the canister. It runs saltwater thru to flush the resin and drains out of the back.
