i feed my banded's with sinking pellets, shrimp, and occassional feeders. i never had problems with them feeding with the light on..

i have a flowerhorn in a 50 gal.. never had any luck putting any tankmates in.. they always ended up as dinner.. flowerhorns should always be kept by themselves unless breeding.. anything you put in with them becomes food eventually..

hi.. i had a pair of convicts that behaved in more or less the same way.. as it turned out, they were breeding and have selected an area for their eggs.. they were just defending the site.. :)
