Fish suggestion for my new tank.

Hello there, I would like to know what fish I can keep in my new tank. Here are my new tank's dimensions: 12 inches in depth, 18 inches in height, and 4 feet in width. *Sorry I can't take a picture or a video of my tank, as it's still under process.* Thanks in advance.

    1-2 Fish for a 29 Gallon Tank

I am looking for 1-2 fish that can live in my 29-gallon for its whole life. They don't need to be the same species. Please note I said 1 or 2, I'm not looking for a school. They shouldn't be teeny little fish, looking for something good sized. Needs to be relatively easy to keep, easy to find...

    Filter for 55g

So I want to get a better filter for my 55 gallon tank and want to make it bare bottom. Would a fluval fx6 be to over kill? Would a set up with an airstone on the other side of the tank and filtration on the other make bare bottom work? Thanks in advance :)

Brown algae at bottom of bare bottom tank, does it also grow on sand?

I have a bare bottom tank. It grows brown algae on the bottom from time to time which I scrub off. If I add sand, wouldn't algae still grow on the sand at the bottom as well? How would I remove the algae on the sand?

    Stingray substrate or not

I just want to please know how many of you use bare bottom tanks for your stingrays and how your rays react to it? I am thinking of going bare bottom for multiple reasons. I see that a lot of people do it, but every time I ask in the groups on facebook I get chastised for it.

    Relavance of substrate.

My question is to have substrate or not? I have seen so many pictures of either or. Pro's and Con's of both would be much appreciated. I personally have one of each. The one with substrate has just enough to slightly cover the bottom. My rays bunch it up and make it useful for them...
