If my theory is right, your small "cheapo community" (Silver+Green Aro), the Silver Aro shouldn't get DE. I can't wait too see those Aros big. How many tanks do you have now? 4-5?

Fish will be alittle pale for sure if you are setting up like you mentioned.

i already have this setting and have 2 silvers but my aros are really silvery.(like white) and nothing like how colourful yours is...so if i change my bottom to black the aros will show alot more colouration right

I believe so. Leaving the lights on longer also help in a way. But still must see if your fish got the colouration to develop in te first place.

thanx for the help koji..also one more thing..i read here on mfk that having lights on 24x7 is bad for the fish as it affects the cycle of the day and night..what is your take on this theory

Well, I ain't using strong lights for the tanks. Just normal cool white FL. And there's shadow at the back of the tank for them to hide way.

Thanks. yes, silvers are practically longer than asia aro and a longer big tank is preferred.
