Day started out boring. I caught drum after drum after buffalo after carp are drum after buffalo...some were small most in 8-15lb range with a couple buffalo pushing 20lbs easy. All trash fish and thrown back

I had a bighead carp on that easily was 80lbs but I could do anything with it and just broke it off before he spooled me. Fish was a monster. Caught a nice 30lbs blue cat, released.

About half an hour before sunset the action started heating up at first with the smaller white bass and hybrids, then the big boys showed up.

The big one was a brute and FUN to bring in on 8lb line. The smallest fish pictured I think is the biggest white bass Ive ever seen!!

Should be a couple good meals coming up!! :headbang2

All fish were caught on Berkley Gulp Minnow in Gold Shad.

Big ugly hairy foot is size 11.5 for reference...you know what they say about big feet....? :uhoh:

Nice fish....How much that hybrid weigh? I love catching hybrid they are the hardest fighters....Got any walleye or saugeye there???

Id guess 12-15pounds the smaller one about 7 or 8. We have tons of sauger and the occasional walleye but they stop biting around mid May. from November until then the fishing is fantastic! I scored a 24" sauger earlier this year!

nice catch, lucky you...no comment on feet leave that to gr8 lol

Spotfin, do you think that smallest is ]v[ONSTER white bass? The lines are really broken like a hybrid, but white bass hardly ever get that big!

Not sure. Haven't seen any white bass or hybrids up close.

That's awesome Jason! Are stripers good to eat? We don't have them here.
