Yeah and those same critics are the same ones who have Kobe jerseys hidden in their Closets:screwy:..Closet Kobe fans hahaha...why else would he have the number 2 most selling jersey in the NBA just behind his airness if nobody liked him...Anyways you dont have to like Kobe you just have to respect his GAME and the skills that he brings to the court...MVP 2008 no doubt

I agree, it all depends on how you define value. To me it is, you are down by one (not tied score cuz there's no pressure, too many guys are "fake clutch" cuz they take the shots where worst case they go to overtime, to me thats not clutch) and you need one person to take your last shot, to win you the game. Whoever you pick obviously has the most value, because they can do what all the others cannot. That person is Kobe, anybody who says otherwise is lying to themselves.

True no wonder Shaq calls him the assasin, cause he takes you out with one shot, the shot with the game on the line..

Thats how i define great players too..how they perform in extreme pressure, how they deliver in the clutch..shaq may have been immovable object during their championship run but when the game is on the line they turned to "numero ocho" (now 24)..the best Closer in the NBA..:D

by readin this it makes me laugh... obviously you really dont watch the lakers play @ all & you just read stats... lol,, first of all kobe had no choice to take those points in that game cuz the whole team was lacking energy and defence except kobe.. kobe tryed so hard to get everyone envolved but no-one stepped up and helped!! this game here was the first time kobe had a very high score eversince before the all star game probably longer than that!!as far as cp3 and garnett being scoring leaders,,, hahahahahahahaha,,, thats funny cuz garnett had that chance and failed in minnisota!! what was he the CENTER PIECE as in their FRANCHISE PLAYER meaning score to WIN,, did he?? yeah won a couple of games? but did he win the scorin title? no,,FAILED!! MVP??once again,, nope,, FAILED!! palyoffs?? lol,, not even close!! now cp3 turn,, WE WILL SEE??:D
for the MOST PART my laker team,, L.O was under the weather and played lil of minutes... our point guard fish ia also injured but is a solid player and knows this is crunch time.. but is HURT!! all we have is our bench right now... FYI lakers are a GREAT team without KOBE... look @ our LINEUP without him... think about it( exactly )!!! the only reason why were so much BETTER is cause of KOBE... get it!!! i hope so!! kobe brings the LAKERs to a WHOLE new LEVEL... as he would do the same for any team thats already good.... adding kobe is a WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!!

OHHH,,, about earning spots!!! kobe definitly had to earn his spot!!! listenin to you talk you seem to know alot about the N.B.A!! you should be a ANALYST:ROFL:... CP3's first year, n.o traded a couple people and threw him in!!

it took kobe 2-3 years to get experience and LEADERSHIP in the league because he came straight out of high school... oh and did you forget L.A wasnt his first TEAM!! it was the real HORNETS!!!!(CHARLOTTE)

and you know how he got that experience was,, 1min here and 2min here...
and to even blow it out of more porportion first 18y.o to play in the nba!! we all knew he can play but it takes time for an individual to develope.. as far as airballs what are you refering too,, what game? alot of airballs in a season?? :screwy:
i know what youre talkin about,, playoffs vs utah FINALs western division??
cuz thats when he developed his shot... and what is everyone sayin kobe is now... an ASSASIN!!! watch out for those airballs,, lol... it gave him more expierience way more than anyone in the league can handle espicially games that were so important!! hahahaha... it maybe funny to you,,, but i will be laughing more when or if they play your cp3 and boston... and kobe just shuts cp3 DOWN like he always does every person he's assigned to gaurd when thee game matters.. did you forget not only he can score he is also the best DEFENDER in the LEAGUE!!! i
bet you just read up stats and didnt know that one!!!:grinno:

this ones even more funnier!!! F.Y.I if you dont know much about the lakers pls,, dont act like you do!!! to answer your nash curiousity? well he was the best point gaurd in the league he got 2 of them cuz he helped his team win by bieng very unselfish leading the nba in assists and when the team needed him to step up HE DID!!!! i mean HE DID!!!! just VALUEBLE!!! crunch time,, VALUEBLE!!! enough about PHEONIX:irked::irked::D:D:irked::irked:

LAKER, KOBE, SHAQ::: kobe has 3RINGS buddy!! shaq did not run the team PHIL JACKSON DID!!! but in your perspective shaq ran the team... in my perspective shaq or kobe couldnt of had rings if it wanst for either of them!!!
once again did you forget,,, oh yeah i remember you just read stats about them!! they were the best 1-two PUNCH in the whole nba in their era... no-one could stop them.... i mean pistons did,, but then you seen PROBLEMs rise not from the players from the ORGANIZATION!!! dont get me wrong detroit humiliated them their last year together..:irked: (lakers):irked:
AND ITS NOT OBVIOUS LAKERS FELL OFF AFTER SHAQ LEFT....:irked:
oh yeah you just read stats huh:ROFL:

try the whole team leavin exept kobe & devin george.. and then george left to the mavs!!! now to give you my 2cents,, reason for lakers to fall off.. IS BECAUSE THEY WERE REBUILDING AROUND KOBE!!!! and now youre hatin cuz were back again.... yeah boy!! WE'RE BACK!!! GO LAKERS!!!!

and the gasol thingy.... just to set the record straight we didnt need him..
did you forget about our up and comin center in BYNUM... he got injured.. and we needed help so we got gasol... and oh yes he impacted the lake show big time.. now when we got bynum and gasol in the paint... call CP3 and tell him to come in for a layup and see what happens...
and we were doin great without gasol and bynum... were just losin cuz were anticipating there comeback which is this comin up week:headbang2!!!

nothin strange about losing... its just how the game goes sometimes... especially when every team in the league is goin after you because your known as the,, team to beat!! now why do they label such a team like the

LOS ANGELES LAKERS the team to BEAT???:headbang2

cuz were are now favorites to win it all, along with the celtics!!!:headbang2

:ROFL: You crack my sh*t up!! First off, I'm not a stat reader, I'm a player, fan , follower. I know the stats CAUSE I KNOW THE GAME! I talk the game. I play the game. You're right, you HAVE to have 2 guys to win. Jordan had Scottie, Magic had Worthy, so on. Shaq could not have won without Kobe, and visa versa. That's why Garnett has no rings. Marbury was the closest thing he had to a second guy, and he's a laugh. No Garnett hasn't led the league in scoring, he doesn't need to! Check 2003-2004.......Minnesota was the second best team in the league (though knocked out of the playoffs).....who was the MVP that year?.....oh yeah...GARNETT! I'm a stat reader remember???? :screwy: There's a reason analysts have always said if they were starting a team, and could pick anyone, Garnett would be their centerpiece. DON'T GET SO WORKED UP , MAN! :D I'm speaking from an unbiased opinion (living in the middle of the country where there is no team to root for). Your's is OBVIOUSLY biased and swayed since you call the Lakers "WE". I'll stop discussing on your thread so you can build your Laker ego and lower your blood pressure. Just sit back and watch. :)

I think that people did say this alot...5 years ago. Garnet should have become more, the "analysts" were working on the presumptions that he would...he hasn't. If you asked the "analysts" now, I would bet that Garnet would not be their answer.

I'm not a shaq fan, but he was certainly more valuable then because of how was able to take over games, and you could go to him in the clutch times too because no one could stop him, but Shaq doesn't do that anymore. The most dominate player in the NBA is Kobe, and Lebron is very very close, whats separates them though is what they do in the clutch, and Kobe if much better.

I don't understand how you can be so quick in these threads (the other one also) to point out all the help around Kobe Bryant, and how he isn't deserving of the MVP because of it. But then out of the other side of your mouth you say that KG should be the MVP? He has Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen, and now Sam Cassel! He arguably has the most proven help of any team! And you talk about what the Lakers were like without the other guys, what were the T-Wolves like last year! Unless KG has other big names, and guys with the guts to take the big shots and lead so he doesn't have to, he is just a stat line. You use the same argument against Kobe that you use to hold up KG.

I only started that when I said Garnett and got Kobe slugs shot at me. I never said he wasn't good. I'm arguing with guys who live in LA.....I'm discussing, you guys are arguing. If you have these opposing thoughts, SAY THEM. You call me a hater, but you just get all defensive when I say anything against your beloved Kobe Bryant. If you want to get technical, and base things off what you are, LEBRON JAMES is more than Kobe, so don't get started. Like I said in the pther thread, I'm done here, as you boys obviously have "other opinion" issues.......And yeah Garnett's a wuss, only averages like 20 (something), 11-12 rebounds, 4-5 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals.....so on a game in his career. Have fun hatin me now that I'm gone.
edit....yeah that's more of my stat reading......(head shake)
