I'm not a shaq fan, but he was certainly more valuable then because of how was able to take over games, and you could go to him in the clutch times too because no one could stop him, but Shaq doesn't do that anymore. The most dominate player in the NBA is Kobe, and Lebron is very very close, whats separates them though is what they do in the clutch, and Kobe if much better.

i beg to differ a little bit..shaq was certainly dominant because of his sheer size but he was never a player that phil would go to in the clutch, cause they would just foul shaq and despite all the things shaq says he cant hit a free throw to save his life, he even set the record for most FT misses in a single game..kobe on the other hand was cold blooded, i can still remember that shot against the pistons maybe 30 feet away off the dribble with the clock winding down right in Rip's grill in the Finals..

I agree that Lebron is a phenom cause of his size, strength and athleticism..i just cant get over how a guy the size of a power forward can move like a guard:nilly: but in the clutch department he's a ways off of KB24..

:ROFL: You crack my sh*t up!! First off, I'm not a stat reader, I'm a player, fan , follower. I know the stats CAUSE I KNOW THE GAME! I talk the game. I play the game. You're right, you HAVE to have 2 guys to win. Jordan had Scottie, Magic had Worthy, so on. Shaq could not have won without Kobe, and visa versa. That's why Garnett has no rings. Marbury was the closest thing he had to a second guy, and he's a laugh. No Garnett hasn't led the league in scoring, he doesn't need to! Check 2003-2004.......Minnesota was the second best team in the league (though knocked out of the playoffs).....who was the MVP that year?.....oh yeah...GARNETT! I'm a stat reader remember???? :screwy: There's a reason analysts have always said if they were starting a team, and could pick anyone, Garnett would be their centerpiece. DON'T GET SO WORKED UP , MAN! :D I'm speaking from an unbiased opinion (living in the middle of the country where there is no team to root for). Your's is OBVIOUSLY biased and swayed since you call the Lakers "WE". I'll stop discussing on your thread so you can build your Laker ego and lower your blood pressure. Just sit back and watch. :)

hahahaha.... i guess you cant handle pressure like your pixs....
and as far as anything dont get all butt hurt buddy you you said before you like hearing other peoples opinions... and i just shot my first one @ you... and you ready to give up!!!:ROFL:
hey well ill be the first to admit that you were right about K.G,, completely slipped my mind!!!;) but as far as acting like that theres no need bro... cuz if you cant handle the pressure dont dish everything out and cant take it when someone out of knowhere dishes it right back to you!!!

and as far as i know by what you said in your lil paragraph... had nothin to do with what my point was!!!because all your talkin about is K.G:ROFL:

my point is just to make it easier for you!!! dont talk about a team when you really dont know much abouth them!! and as far as you being a player in your backyard has nothin to do with the n.b.a... and if the N.B.A aint so hot where you live....as far as fan wise.... how do you get to read and follow stats....

bro like i said when i called you out... it was funny that you talk so much S%@# about the lakers... but really knew nothin about them... thats my point...

hey feel free to do what you wanna do... you can comment on here whenever you want;) i dont care...
im not takin this any way personal... im just givin you some info on how the lakers were and still is....

and if anyone was takin it personal it was you.... cuz... just read what you say bro....

dont hate on SPORTS WHEN ITS ONLY A GAME... ALSO DONT HATE SPORTS,,
BECAUSE SPORTS IS ALWAYS COMPETITIVE!!!!:headbang2

I only started that when I said Garnett and got Kobe slugs shot at me. I never said he wasn't good. I'm arguing with guys who live in LA.....I'm discussing, you guys are arguing. If you have these opposing thoughts, SAY THEM. You call me a hater, but you just get all defensive when I say anything against your beloved Kobe Bryant. If you want to get technical, and base things off what you are, LEBRON JAMES is more than Kobe, so don't get started. Like I said in the pther thread, I'm done here, as you boys obviously have "other opinion" issues.......And yeah Garnett's a wuss, only averages like 20 (something), 11-12 rebounds, 4-5 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals.....so on a game in his career. Have fun hatin me now that I'm gone.
edit....yeah that's more of my stat reading......(head shake)

I'm not from L.A., I'm from Detroit :D And I'm not arguing either, just because you don't like how the discussion is starting to turn "our" way, you start questioning the ethics of it. I'm not defensive, these aren't "my" players, I just noticed you using both sides of an argument in two threads and I thought I'd point it out. Don't leave now, it hardly as much fun "discussing" with people who all believe the same stuff!

I agree a little, Kobe was also more accessible though because of in-bounds passes and whatnot. Shaq was the most valuable player on that team though, because he was always doubled and that opened things up for Kobe, Horry, Fisher, whoever.
