Been there, done that, escaped, found him dead behind the toilet. (48 feet away)

I have two.
Everyone knows I have one of these monster tanks in the john....

The other one is a clutter-keeper, bottles of fish meds, conditioners, de-chlor & such. It's under my 46g bow-front.

How 'bout a hand full of neons?

how about neon tetras?? they are good looking for small or large tanks.

Okay ladies and gents, this little tank couldnt be farther from Monsterville... ...Anyway I was hoping for some opinions on what a tank this size would be suitable for...

You could use it as a feeder tank and feed it to your monster tank.

Hey, fish tanks gotta eat too...

Try a pair of feeder/guppies minnows? I would use it for plants and maybe some ghost shrimp? Dwarf frogs get up to 6 inches I hear, so please don't use those! I have a 2.5 with a pair of guppies, live plant, ghost shrimp.airstone,

Thats it.. put it in the monster tank as a clear cave !!

Here is a serious suggestion for a 1g planted tank, add a clump of java moss and some anubius or elodea. then add 3-5 ghost/glass shrimp, and a pair of Elassoma sunfish, either Elassoma evergladei, or E. okefenokee, and a couple of the smaller ramshorn snails. Although this seems like a lot for a 1g tank it is actually well within it's limits. The main thing to keep in mind for such a small tank is that it needs to be topped off 2 times a week and a 25% water change each week does not hurt. Be careful not to over feed. Also, be sure to keep it somewhere that the temp. is very stable as they cool and heat quickly from external sources. The old 1"per gallon rule works well for tiny tanks like this (if you remember that it is a cubic inch, an adult elassoma gets to 1.4" long and is about 0.3" tall and 0.25" thick, that is 0.105 cubic inches and they are the largest animal in this tank. Even with a couple snails and 5 shrimp your bioload would be 0.75 cubic inch (at most).
Here are pics of the Elosoma evergladei (by Tiegler) and the E. okefenokee (by Bornstien),
the darker one is the Okefenokee.

Thats a great idea, Mr Guppy!! I already have some java moss growing in this tank. I plan to go to my LFS soon, maybe today, and see what kind of deal I can get on a special order. I had thought of putting in some snails too, but was unsure which kind to get. I love the color on that Okefenokee!!. Thanks again everybody.
