1 oscar and a 29 as a grow out?

You get through way too many fish mate, just think if you kept the fish alive in the correct sized fish tanks you would have money in your pockets but you keep them in cramped tanks and then they die so you go out and get even more to replace them.
Not sure if your mixed up, more fish-more bioload, less fish-less bioload:)

Just get something which WONT out grow your 35, like convicts, i read your other post you know have 2 oscars, whats the point making a thread saying it is alright to keep one in a 35 growout when you have already bought double what you said you were going to get.
I wouldnt be surprized if you have the other fish which you named.

TBH mate you never learn from your mistakes, and that is bad....

So if you want to change what you ahve done, just get rid of your fish which will grow out of the 35, so most of them bar a convict, so get 2 of the same gender fish like 2 male convicts or a male convict and a male firemouth and leave it alone, dont add any other fish, your wasting your money because as i have seen your threads you have lost alot of fish.

Then WHEN you get the 300 or the 180 it was acouple threads back buy the fish which you want and which wont grow out your tank. You say its special or you like the oscar which has red eyes, you WILL be able to get another one the same, they are not rare. You say you like it or what ever, i remember you said you would never get rid of that female convict and you ended up trading it in? WTF!!!

One word of caution with the 300 Gallon rubbermaid plan - I've never used a rubbermaid as a permanent (or long-term) tank myself, but I know people who have tried, and they said that because they're not really made to hold water, they start getting bowed and misshapen pretty quickly and do not hold up long-term. Perhaps other people have had success with it, just giving a word of warning based on what I've heard.

he could reinforce it easily

a 300 rubbermaid stock tank is made to hold water, and shouldnt bow out at all.

on another note, for sure get your housing situation settled, its hard on fish to move and quite frequently they dont survive moving. so get your appt or house and definitely a job and your ged. take what you have to a lfs and try to get store credit, then use it once you get established.

I had an oscar in a 30 gallon hex for three month smoved it to a 29 then had it in a 55 for 8 years lol you could keep a oscar an albino at that ina 29 for 6 months imo albinos grow slower the regular oscars

I have to disagree albinos grow at the same rate as the regular tigers. My albino was a good 7" in 6 months , They are pigs and beggers its hard to keep from feeding them

shouldnt have either in either of those tanks. 7 in 29 or 12 in 55, you can get away with 7 in a 55 but thats the limit and only cause oscars are slow moving and can be held in a little smaller tank than a tank buster of the same size.

if youre gonna keep a large fish you need a large aquarium. period point blank. you want a big oscar to be comfortable and healthy then it needs atleast a 90.
