One of my Sens(7'' when I got him) that I have had since Feb is stuck at 9'' while the newest one, I've only had about a month, has already caught up!! Went from 7'' to 9''. But I feed a VERY varied diet. Live, frozen, fresh and pellets.
1 year old Ropefish, hasnt grown!

As others have already said, vary the diet. I know when I had mine...he loved beefheart, bloodworms, shrimp, pretty much everything I put in the tank.
I had him for about 2 yrs and he didn't grow to much though (about 2" or so) ...so I do believe they are slow in growth rate.

but i got the two ropes from my brother a few days ago... still the same size.. ill try and see if they will grow here.
Mine goes nuts over earth worms. Just kill them in hot water first or they can burry themselves in the substrate and rot.
I have got 3 in a 75 and they don't look like they have grown an inch
and they get pellets, black worms, blood worms, earth worms, or market shrimp.

flake food probably isn't enough to suit ropes, but small shrimp pellets or cut up earthworms will really get them growing unless he did do "The ol' Switcheroo"
