yeah i tried the actinic since i had one too but i didnt like the look. for some reason i never like super blue bulbs on FW tanks

You could combine a marine white tube. These are awesome at bringing out blues and they make the tank look very natural.
Awesome orino's by the way. I just bought 10 babies that I'm guessing are the same as the ones rapps has in. They are hard to get hold of in the uk so I'm really happy.

on the 50/50, do these come in T5HO? i dont think ive ever seen a T5HO 50/50 bulb...

and thx for the comments!!! :)

thx bro. i have a 4ft T5HO fixture, but i only run one bulb cause i like slightly dimmer lighting. ill try to mix it up with a different bulb see how it looks.

and your right about the natural sunlight. when i was moving these guys over, i held them out of the water in the sun and OMG they looked friggin amazing!!!!!!!!! i started to wonder why they didnt look like that in the tank...must be the bulbs :)

it's the wide variety of different kelvins that the natural sunlight offer in ration to just your 10 k bulb ;)

they make 50/50's in t5 if i'm not mistaking.. you may have to turn to a german company to get your hands on some.. i have to look into that for you. 50/50 is a mix of a 460 artinic, is blue not purple-ish, and a 10k if i'm not mistaking which i don't think i am ;). the thing with mixing 10ks and 50/50s is that your tank tends to get a bit blue but this is why i recommend 6500k ( natural daylight) because it brings some of the yellow back, which really brings out yellow, oranges and even a little red.
