10,000k light...what a difference on the GREENS!

10k and a 6500k may be a little yellow but it's a freshwater aquarium not marine so personally it doesn't both me... i feel you don't notice the yellow so much since your not keeping live rock and sand which is basically white. it will deff bring out the colors in your fish.. i run nothing but 4 bulb setups on my display tanks so i can mix the bulbs up... i used to have an amazing t5 tek kit until my largest kelberi blew it up on me

how many watts? do you run a uv?

I'm almost positive GE makes some 8000K bulbs, but they are pricey. I know my big tank will definetly have metal halides hung above it. The way the light shimmers with those things is unreal. I've yet to really see a cichla tank with them and I'm sure it will be illy.
