Just so we're clear. Do you think rays in general are more comfortable in a tank with sand or a tank with gravel and rocks?

I think rays are more comfortable with a corona on one fin and mermaid on the other.

they have not eaten and dont seem tempted by food...am getting very worried...looks like most of my gars are going to take a vacation...i believe they're stressing the pups out.

wow, you my friend have my absolute dream setup. amazing specimens.

this may be my favourite tank on monster fish keepers, hope to see updates soon!

sorry for the delay. i'm afraid fastfreddy seems to be right in my caes. they seemed much calmer after i cleared a 4x16" space (60% barebottom, 40% minimal gravel) and placed a divider. thing to note is that my stones aren't gravel, they're huge. some are the size of apples. will make lots of adjustments to the tankscape before i remove the divider.

Thats a bit bigger than I expected.

If you like the stone look, adding flat stone slides and sand is a good option. It gives a very natrual xingu look. :-)

Looks awesome! Was that a feeder goldfish? If so be careful- disease plus growth inhibitors add to a bunch of stuff rays don't need.
