Hi everyone. This weekend I set up a hexagonal 10 gallon that we've had for about 10 years. It was actually my family's first tank. It used to have blue gravel and poor decorations. It was just sitting around empty for a couple months so we emptied it and put it away. Now its back, and better than ever. I decided I would set it up with some nice aquascaping and some decent fish. What kind of fish would do well in a 10 gallon hex? I'd like to stay away from the conventional bettas and tetras, although i've always been partial to schools of tetras. I know there are some great small fish out there, its just that I haven't kept little tanks in so long. Here are some pictures of the resurected 10 gallon:

How about ummmm..................Black fin tetras they would look good with the aqua scaping or a few tiger barbs..yeah tiger barbs are super cool!

Danios are really hardy, and they come in red/orange/green/yellow now. They are pretty and colorful. I have black mollies, but they get bigger and everyone I know has had problems with them getting ick.

It sure is a pretty tank. I am jealous. I am fond of the hex tanks and bowfronts.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Is there any sort of bottom feeder I can fit in there? Maybe a couple otto's? I've been thinking about a pair of apistos.

the smallest i can think off the top of my head would be a cory catfish or a type of loach, but corys should be kept in groups, so i dont think it would work in that size tank. A loach such as a kuhli hits around 4, so you might be able to get away with that.

evon tho your not fond of tetras, i would personaly go with a school of neons

i would do some tetras or maybe a couple of dwarf gouramis
