One of my friends had a 12 inch pleco in a 10g hex. It was hilarious! the fish had 2 inches of room to move. You can probably keep some sort of shrimp along with cardinal tetras, and a snail.

try some german blue rams nice fish and good size for 10g

try some bolivian, blue rams or some dwarf cichlids but not many
