Well she knows I'm setting up but she doesn't know that I'm gonna buy the stuff so what is a good set up for these guys and do I keep them by themselves or with tetras of somesort?

I personally think in a 10g, 2 rams and maybe a few neons, rams aren't mean so it's up to you.. ( just don't get too big of fish stick with small ones ) and don't add too many

Personally, I think 10 Gallons is pretty small for a pair of Rams and other fish. Also the chances of getting two females or a pair are pretty slim by just buying two. I bought my two and they didnt get along at all. I thought they were both males, ended up seperating and they turned out to be male and female. Most people recommend buying a group and letting them pair off on their own.

I would say a 20L would be better for Rams. They LOVE the extra space, the tanks are nice and shallow, but with a nice footprint to make for a nice area.

I would go with sand substrate, get some easy plants such as Vals or Swords, even some Crypts are easy enough. Corydoras are AWESOME lil guys, but try to get at least three! They are very social lil guys and full of character. I keep my male Ram with 3 corys and 4 barbs (two gold and two albino tiger) and its a very nice lil group. Tetras are good too and you got a lot to choose from.

and Bolivians .. and yeah 10g is fine

Sorry to hijack, but Ive never seen this color morph before! Gorgeous! Ive seen the gold/blue morph, but this one really looks sharp.

A 20 would be ideally better and heck you might even get lucky ;)

If your going a 10 I wouldnt get her any corys because of space

Also above, I've never had any rams fight! Strange!

I agree with the Cory statement with the ten. Rams are eartheaters, they do a pretty good job at keeping their tanks clean themselves Ive noticed.

They didnt so much fight, but the male would constantly harass my (now confirmed) female. She was always black with stress :(

Man what a bully haha!

Pretty much why they got seperated. Hoping to soften the water in his tank, start them on a bloodworm supplement and reintroduce! Crossing fingers on this one!

Have you seen the LILAC color morph? Man, I want a pair of those as well... Im actually setting up a 33 Long for rams. I have Bolivians now, but Im debating on getting a pair of Golds, Blues, and the Gold/Blue morph and having a variety. If I get babies, cool, if not, still a pretty sight.

In trying but she only has a 10 and I'm ordering fish before I moe back down for my extra 20L but if I can find one cheap then that will increase my odds though I believe I've been friend zoned as they call it can't really tell but she just thinks I'm setting up my plans r to buy everything for her and then set it all up for her
