10 New Caribes In My 180 Gallon Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If anyone is interested in having me make one of these at this size or smaller send me a pm. I will do it at a minimal labor cost to you. I can get it put together and ship it to you at your expense as well as get all the parts you need. I wouldn't mind doing a few of these projects over the long cold winter we have here in eastern Pa.

nice tank word to the wise get rid of the SAND. it kills ur filters dude. i have a 14inch caribe and a 6 inch carbie that dont really eat but 5 red bellys about 6 inchs and they eat like pigs. ther in a 125g. and i have 3 slate rockes and 2 fake bush plants in the middle and it works out well. i had them in a 75g with sand and what a mess it made always to cloudy cause they fight alot and move fast.

i've never run into problems with sand when using canisters or wet/drys, there's just no way for it to cause problems since it is filtered out before it has a chance to reach moving parts... sand really only messes up the impellars on HOB filters

damn! sweet tank man! i miss pygo's, i would mix it up with some pirayas and some, but btw those caribe will eat those danios if you put them in with them..

Thanks everyone.

The last 2 days or so the Caribes have been very skittish whenever I get close to the tank. They weren't this bad before. Any reason why?
