I surely wouldn't use such harsh chemicals to clean an aquarium...

but glass nor silicone are at all porous therefore there is no reason why you couldn't flush it enough to completely remove the chemical...

so i just need to rinse it out a whole bunch?

I'm not very familiar with the literal chemicals these products use, so I am not sure what will work best to remove them from the surfaces of the glass and silicone...

But I am quite familiar with glass and silicone and neither one will soak up anything...

You may wish to use a soapy water mix to flush the tank extensively... then flush the tank with hot water to remove the soap...

oh ok, will do!

thanks!

if cinch and kaboom are chemicals just make sure to rinse it with clean water really good and you will be fine.

That is my thought too...

But soap may help break a bond that holds it to the glas/silicone surface. Common soaps are good for breaking surface tensions of a wide range of chemicals... Just make sure you rinse all the soap off when your finished...

Ok, let me make sure I got my order of things right.

Clean with soap (like dish soap?)
rinse several times
clean with vinegar (has some foggy bits)
cut out old silicone
clean with acetone
apply new silicone
rinse out some more
water holding test
done?

I'd skip the last few steps and just

Clean with dish soap.
Rinse
rinse
rinse
rinse
water holding test
rinse
rinse
done.

Occam's Razor man... it's just a 20H (I've got one myself, got it for like 30$) but to do all that work and then wait for the silicone to dry and then test fill, maybe have to reseal... You're better off just doin the said above.
