100,000 gal. pond needs advice!

and for the filter i have some ideas for u. u can make a huge sand filter out of this http://www.plastic-mart.com/class.php?item=2426 or this http://www.plastic-mart.com/class.php?item=680. you could go with a pool filter like this http://www.waterwarehouse.com/products/sku-1703p.html or a real sand filter like this http://www.pondparts.com/subcat323.html. you could use like 10 of these http://www.pondliner.com/AtlanticBF3000.htm.
if u go with that sand filter it would look like this, or if u go with a container filter it would look like this.

since you are in a tropical environment philedendrons planted on the trees with the root trailers hanging in the water. Another really good plant for filtration would be bullrushes I dont know if you have them over here but in saskatchewan they are totally prevalent
